GETTING THERE:
The beauty of the Eastern Cape is revealed in Shamwari Private Game Reserve, and the journey in getting there. O’Live To Travel will pre-arrange private transfers from Port Elizabeth Airport to Shamwari and visa-versa, along with car-hire for the traveler wanting to take the majestic journey by car along the garden route to Cape Town. Alternatively, if you are wanting a pre-arranged charter plane for your arrival on Shamwari’s private landing strip.

Eagles Crag holds its name with it being nestled deep in one of the valleys surrounded by imposing mountain cliffs. This lodge with 9 junior suites is suitable for the discerning guest and honeymooners looking for a tranquil experience, each suite with it’s individual, private plunge pool. Indoor and outdoor shower facilities. 
Long Lee Manor
OPULENT BYGONE ERA
Long Lee Manor stands firm in its Edwardian Manor style architecture, combined with modern amenities.
Please note: Long Lee Manor at Shamwari Private Game Reserve, originally built in 1910, are currently undergoing major renovations. It will be closed from 01 November 2018 to 30 November 2019.
Bayethe Tented Lodge
LUXURY TENTED SAFARI
Bayethe offers 12 luxurious tented accommodations, the Superior Tents each include individual plunge pools, indoor bath and outdoor shower, fire place. The tented safari experience allows for getting even closer to nature, shrouded by the foliage of the surrounding vegetation in luxurious comfort. 
Lobengula Lodge
PLUSH BUSH Lodge
Shamwari offers the utmost privacy for the traveler seeking an exclusive safari getaway in the 6 junior suites at Lobengula Lodge, each overlooking incredible views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The architecture is unique in design, inspired by the African kraal.
- 6 suites, each of which can accommodate 2 adults in either twin or king sized beds. All 6 suites can sleep a maximum of 2 adults per suite.

Riverdene Family Lodge
FAMILY BUSH ELEGANCE
9 luxury inter-leading rooms, perfect for families, along with a Kids Club and Outdoor Adventure Centre, swimming pool and comfortable areas for parents to relax as well. The 9 luxury inter-leading rooms at Riverdene Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults, sharing with 1 child, subject to availability.
Sarili Lodge
CONTEMPORARY FAMILY COMFORT
Sarili Lodge is ideal for guests with older children. The lodge has a large deck overlooking the vast plains alongside the Bushmans’ river. The luxury of a heated pool and personalised service ensures the comfort for all. 
Explorers Camp
UNIQUE WALKING EXPERIENCE
Explorer Camp at Shamwari Private Game Reserve offers a unique walking experience ideal for guests looking for an adventurous and authentic option. Offering the ambiance of a tented bush camp of old safari lore. The camp is located on a plateau set among the only basalt and granite extrusions on Shamwari. A truly magical setting awaits.
The camp site provides the true explorer ambiance and tents are placed in fairly close proximity without encroaching on other tents privacy. Wild animals are able to move through the camps at any time and although all safety precautions have been followed in setting up the camp; this remains a reality.
The wilderness bush camp itinerary comprises a min 2-night trail. Operational Tuesday & Wednesday and Friday & Saturday with an optional 3rd night (Sunday) on request. The camp operates from October to April. Each tent is furnished for comfort in the wilderness.
The walking trails are hosted and guided by an armed qualified walking guide. Distances walked vary each day but can last up to 4 hours. A game viewing vehicle remains in camp and will be utilised depending on where guests walk that day, the trail may start from camp or depart camp by vehicle to visit another area of the reserve.
We regret that no persons younger than 16 years will be able to participate.
Participants older than 65 years will be required to provide a medical clearance certificate in order to participate.
